Winter Cricket Challenge: LCYO, Highlanders set up title clash

DIMAPUR — Defending champions Highlanders will lock horns with LCYO Cricket Club in the grand final of the 28th Winter Cricket Challenge to be played at Wokha town on Sunday.

In the second semi-final match played between Phyolumo XI and Highlanders on Saturday, Highlanders, who won the toss, opted to bat first and set a target of 150 runs in 20 overs losing 2 wickets, an update stated.

Hiketo, the opening batsman scored 61 runs, alongside Jitu who scored an unbeaten 72 runs.

Chasing the target, Phyolumo XI lost the match by 38 runs in 18.2 overs losing all the wickets.

Jitu of Highlanders was adjudged the man of the match.

President of BJP ST Morcha, Wokha unit, Shanjothung Ezung, was the match patron on Saturday’s semi-final match.
