DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 12

The Ao Senden, Watsü Mungdang and Ao Students’ Organisation have demand to know from the government as to why the murder case of late Nungshilila on July 4, 2013 at Dimapur is being over delayed and lying dormant for so long despite the fervent appeal made by everyone concerned to expedite the case and deliver justice.
In a joint press release Prof Sangyu Yaden, Ms Achila Imsong and Akok Lkr presidents of Ao Senden, Watsu Mungdang and AKM respectively stated that the three apex bodies have also submitted representation to the Governor of Nagaland (dated 22/07/13) and the parliamentary secretary, Law and Justice (dated 12/08/13) to intervene and thoroughly probe the case so that justice is delivered on time.
“Various other organizations have shown serious concern to deliver justice in the case. Nevertheless, it is desparing to note the total lack of concern shown by the government in dealing with crimes in our society with the adverse effect of crimes, rapes and violence against innocent women occuring daily,” the release stated.
The release also said it will leave no stone unturned to see that justice is not denied due to lapses of the government and its law enforcing agencies. “Let the justice be prevailed immediately before the public demand is gone beyond control,” it added.
