A model, content creator, influencer, and host, Whiso has experience in regional, national, and international shows.
She was crowned Miss Kohima in 2017 and was the first runner-up in the Miss Nagaland pageant that same year.



Whiso also represented Nagaland at the FBB Colors Femina Miss India 2018 pageant in Mumbai.
The Miss Universe India 2024 competition included online contests for the titles of ‘Miss Popular’ and ‘Best in National Costume - People’s Choice,’ generating significant excitement in the Northeast.
Whiso actively shared her journey leading up to the grand finale on social media.
During the preliminary national costume round, Whiso’s costume featured a large structural element of Rhododendron flowers, symbolising unity among the Nagas, and it was widely shared online by Instagram users.
Her captivating introduction, and impressive walk during the swimsuit round earned her a spot in the top 20, followed by the top 5, where she addressed the question “What challenges do women in India face today, and what steps can be taken to empower them?”
The Miss Universe India 2024 finals attracted 1.3 million viewers on YouTube as of September 23, 2024.
