Western music show marks Tokhü Emong celebration
WOKHA — Western music show marked Tokhü Emong, a premier festival of the Lotha community, on the fourth day at Wokha public ground on Sunday with the executive engineer of Water Resources department, Benrio Kithan, as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Kithan lauded the talent of various local artistes and acknowledged the musicians for making every event beautiful by exhibiting their talent. Pointing out that musicians enjoy admirable lifestyles, fame and glory, he encouraged the local artistes to keep working hard and spread love through their talents.
Meanwhile, he also highlighted the importance on culture preservation and encouraged the congregation to promote and preserve the rich culture.
The short launch programme was chaired by Yihamo Patton, cultural secretary of the Lotha Hoho. The event saw thousands of music lovers from Wokha.
