Commemorating International Women’s Day, the youth and health team of Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN) conducted a free health camp for women on March 8 at Beauty Barn, Dimapur.
An update from WENN informed that around 50 women were benefited from the free health camp as they were facilitated through the process of screening, testing, consultation, diagnosis, and treatment. It stated that services in physiotherapy and medical nutrition were offered by healthcare professionals from Nagaland Multi-speciality Health and Research Centre during the camp.
The team of medical professionals included Dr. Tiatula (PT), Dr. Inavika Swu (PT), Dr. Soni Phom (PT) and Zuthunglo Odyuo (clinical dietitian). Besides, dermatologist Dr. Sutsungkokla Imchen, consultant at Nikos Hospital, rendered her service.
Championing menstrual health, free sanitary napkins were distributed by Boditive- Nagaland’s first sanitary pad brand.
Meanwhile, youth and health team shared that their mission was to educate and spread awareness about diet and physiotherapy, which could help manage and prevent numerous health problems.
Proprietor of Beauty Barn, Toina Kinimi, informed that Beauty Barn started in 2017 to help customers discover the best of Korean skincare, beauty and advanced skin care routines.
It mentioned that WENN is a network of women entrepreneurs in Nagaland to voice, collaborate and influence the entrepreneurial system to create a more enabling environment for women entrepreneurs in Nagaland.
