Week-long skill development programme begins at Tamlu sub-division
Dimapur, June 20 (EMN): A week-long skill development programme for youths in the construction sector kicked off at Tamlu sub-division, Longleng district on Monday.
The programme, which will culminate on June 26, is being organised by the department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in partnership with Zynorique Initiative Society.
The objective of the training is to increase proficiency, grow skill sets, achieve tasks in less time with more results and increase performance, an update from DPRO Longleng informed. It also aims to provide more employability in the construction sector.
The inaugural programme was chaired by T Imlisunep Ao, principal of Govt. ITI Mokokchung while short speeches were proposed by student president and village council chairman of Tamlu and Amachong villages respectively. It said that they welcomed and lauded the department and Zynorique Initiative Society for organising the programme, which will provide employment opportunities for the unemployed youths.
The overall programme introduction was highlighted by Richard Belho, Chairman of Zynorique Initiative Society followed dedicatory prayer by the woman associate pastor of Tamlu village.
It added that 5O participants will be learning skills such as plumbing, tiling and masonry work during the week-long programme.
