Kohima, Nov. 25 (EMN): Kats Collection, a store for wedding gowns, was inaugurated on Monday at Razhu Point, opposite to the Naga Bazaar road in Kohima.
During the event, the chairperson of YouthNet, Hekani Jakhalu said, “Every young person’s success is a celebration for us.”
“You could have the perfect team and finances but there are always things that can shake your businesses and so, I hope you make sure that they always keep up with the times.”
‘Every second and minute is important especially in the bridal industry. It is very crucial because it is not just about buying a dress. Bridal dresses are such an emotional thing, an emotional moment for the bride, the groom and the whole family,’ she said. She added that “feedbacks are very important because at the end of the day it is the customers who will keep your business going.” She commented that the service of the staff is important while the ambiance and environment need to be comfortable.
She urged the new business establishment to always be innovative. She hoped that Kats Collection would become a major industry not only in Nagaland but in the Northeast region and in India.
The first runner-up to Miss Kohima 2019 Khrielievinuo Suohu gave the introductory note. Kats Collection is owned by siblings Visituonuo and Kenny Rio, with stores in Dimapur, Kohima and Shillong offering both ready-to-wear and custom-made bridal gowns, she said. She informed that the price of the gowns range from INR 4,000 and go up to INR 1.5 lakh depending on the design.
Vikuonuo sachu, second runner-up for Miss Kohima 2019, said Kats Collection was started in 2011 as an online store selling clothes and shoes but soon added bridal dresses which have become their full-time job ever since.
A cake to mark the occasion was cut by 2019 Miss Kohima Khrienuo Liezietsu. There was also a special musical performance by local singers Tetseo Sisters and Mengu Suokhrie. Ruopfuzhano Whiso, FBB Colors Femina Miss India Nagaland 2018 was the host for the opening ceremony.
