Website of Kohima-based rock band Fifth Note launched
KOHIMA — The rock band from Kohima, Fifth Note, which recently signed a multi-record deal with Italy-based Frontiers Label Group, has launched its official website.
The Chairman of the Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), Theja Meru, launched the website in the presence of the band members and a host of guests on Saturday.
Addressing the launch event in Kohima, Meru stressed the importance of the digital space today, allowing people from around the world to connect. He emphasised that the newly launched website signifies their collective identity and professionalism as a band.
He mentioned that every serious and great musician and artist has a website, which enables people to learn about them with just the click of a button, and maintained that the musicians are at the right time and at the right place in history.
He said that many famous bands and musicians are coming to India nowadays because of the crowd and the money. India has the world’s youngest population and is the fourth richest country in the world. When there is a young population, they will go to concerts and listen to music.
He advised them to take great pride in being musicians, emphasising that the only recognition for musicians is excellence. He advised them to work hard.
Known as an experimental progressive rock band, the Fifth Note began its journey in 2019. The current members are Samuel Thapa (vocalist), Khriekethozo Sekhose (guitarist), Jubito Swu (bassist), Sheduto Kezo (keyboardist), and Rüüvolie Kire (drummer).
The band has released a total of 11 original songs, including two official music videos, to date. These are also available on the newly launched website.
