‘We Teach’ team undertakes tour to Chare town

[caption id="attachment_187452" align="alignnone" width="550"] Director of ‘We Teach,’ Subonenba, handing over the partnership certificate to Shuzong School in Chare town during the two-day visit on June 4 and 5.[/caption] Dimapur, June 5 (EMN): ‘We Teach’ team undertook two-day observation and assessment visit to Shuzong School in Chare town under Tuensang district on June 4 and 5. The visit was a part of Assessment of Progress (AOP) of the faculties, who are being trained under the ‘We Teach’ teachers training programme. The AOP was carried out to evaluate the performance of the teachers under the programme and to give assessment feedbacks for further improvement in their teaching skills. The assessment was conducted through the process of consultation with the school board members, institution heads and through classroom observation, students’ performance and participations in classroom activities. ‘We Teach’ is an undertaking for training and handholding of school personals/ faculties under the initiatives of Community Educational Centre Society (CECS) director, Subonenba Longkumer. He is also currently the director of the ‘We Teach’ training centre. ‘We Teach’ is a teachers training programme that design, develop and deliver programmes ensuring quality in teaching skills, which in turn allows teachers to be effective in delivering the school’s requirements and making students more involved in learning. ‘We Teach’ follows four simple strategies, which includes ‘transformed, equipped, skilled and perform.’ It plays a vital role as a quality enhancement partner by playing an effective role with a view to contribute to the overall target of skilling/ up-skilling teachers in order to enhance the competency level of the faculty and the students for transformative education yield. ‘We Teach’ provides amenities suitable and ready for delivering the training courses and other activities in conjunction besides providing a workable space/ room for the staff of the partner schools to facilitate training and related activities for successful outcome of the joint activities. ‘We Teach’ also carry out the Assessment of Progress (AOP) of the faculty under the programme. The assessment results are handed to the authorised head of the partner schools for any further actions necessary.
