WDSCA celebrates 25th anniversary

[caption id="attachment_279233" align="aligncenter" width="565"] Dr. Chumben Murry (second from right) and other officials releasing the WDSCA jubilee history at Tiyi hall in Wokha town on October 24.[/caption] Dimapur, Oct. 24 (EMN): Wokha District Senior Citizens’ Association (WDSCA) celebrated its 25th anniversary at Tiyi hall in Wokha town on October 24 with MLA, Dr. Chumben Murry as the special guest and the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha, as the guest of honour. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Chumben Murry congratulated all the pioneers and members for the efforts they have put in and taking the association thus far and achieving a milestone. Stressing on the importance of their role towards the uplift of the society and community, he urged them to continue their good deeds and contribution so that younger generation would emulate the good examples. DC Wokha, Orenthung Lotha, congratulated the association for providing a platform for all senior citizens to come together and share their rich experiences. Earlier, the MLA and DC Wokha released the jubilee history and approval of WDSCA constitution. Rev. LK Tsanglao spoke on the theme ‘The responsibility of older persons,’ while Rev. Nyanchumo Lotha, LBCA executive secretary, Vankhosung, offered prayer of blessing for the older persons.
