Dimapur, Aug. 22 (EMN): The Wokha Circle Student’s Union (WCSU), in collaboration with the Wokha Town Council (WTC) organised a cleanliness-cum-plantation drive at Tsumang lake on August 21 on the theme “Let’s keep Tsumang lake clean.”
The WCSU team was led by its president, C Longshithung Lotha, stated an update from the organisation. It added that the ADC and administrator of Wokha Town Council (WTC), T Lankonsen Tsanglao, and his team also took part during the cleanliness.
In a brief speech, Tsanglo has assured all possible assistance from the government to keep the town clean. He further urged other organisations to contribute by setting an example for other districts to follow.
Meanwhile, the union planted flowers, ornamentals plants and other varieties of trees saplings on the occasion. The team also cleared overgrown weeds and other wastes on the day.
The union further erected a signboard and advised the public to keep the lake clean.
