The 53rd sports meet of the Western Angami Sports Association (WASA) will be held from January 20 to 22 at WAPO Ground, Sechü Zubza.
The patrons for the sports meet are Huzo Meru, pro-chancellor, North East Christian University; Kelhusetuo Nakhro, deputy secretary, NPSC, Nagaland and Acalie Viya, joint secretary, PHED, Nagaland.The events to be competed during the three-day meet are football, volleyball (men & women) and athletics.
The field marshals are Thepfüsato Dolie and Keviselhou Peseyie; the announcers are Rokotolie Nakhro, Neidilhoutuo Sechü and Kechazelhou Vikhrie; the recorders are Neinguzokho Nipu, Menolie Sirie, Viketu Suokhrie and Visede Meyase; the track and field judges are Kereineino Nakhro, Lhusavoto Senotsu, Megobeino Chase, Megosezo Khate, Megokhrielie, Nivono, Kekose Seyie and Keviriatuoü Terhüja; the volleyball referees are Neingulie Nagi, Visedelie Khate, Azhalie Chüsi and Visakuolie Rhatsu, while the football referees will be from Kohima District Football Referee Association.
WASA office bearers have also informed all the units to come with two flags. The players have also been asked to assemble at the venue before 8.30 am on January 20. The entry fee for all the units has been fixed at Rs 7000.
