Keditsu, English professor at Kohima College, was launched at the college campus in the presence of Minister of Higher and Technical Education Temjen Imna Along on Feb. 15. Talking about the book, Keditsu said the poetry collection, “Wake” means both “come to life” and “funeral”. The author added that the book is more about the celebration of life and regard death as just a stage that everyone has to eventually go through; and that it is futile to dwell too long on death that is imminent. Temjen Imna Along said that the words penned by the poet were unique; and her eloquence and subtleties of expressing emotions with ease was notable. Vishü Rita Krocha, publisher, PenThrill, shared at the launch event that with spring season just around the corner, the decision of the author to release her book “Wake”, couldn’t be more apt as she talks about life and living in her book.
