WADSA 44th sports meet from Jan 12 at Sechü Zubza

The 44th sports meet of the Western Angami ‘D’ Group Sports Association (WADSA) will be held from January 12 to 14 at WAPO Ground, Sechü Zubza.
The inaugural ceremony would be graced by Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu, MLA, 11th Northern Angami Assembly Constituency as the chief guest, while Goneiu Sirie, president, NPF Kohima Division will be the guest of honour for the closing function. The three-day event will also be graced by Satuo Sechü, former president WADSA as the patron of day-two on January 13. The inaugural function which will commence at 9.30 am will be chaired by WADSA president Neivi Sechü. Other highlights include welcome address by Vibeilie Seyie, advisor WADSA, invocation by Pecüvilie Kruneilie, pastor Peducha Baptist Church, special number by Neiphretuonuo Sechü. The administration of oath to the players will be done by Abilie Meru, Athletic Secretary, WADSA.
During the three-day meet, the five villages under WADSA will compete in football, volleyball (both men & women) and athletics.
The officials are: Field marshalls – Bikho Zhünyü and Rokolie Kielienyü; Announcers – Neidilhoutuo Sechü and Neiketoulie Medoze; Recorders – Mhasisetuo Zhünyü and Keneicakho Kuotsu. The track & field judges are Thekruneikho Hesielie, Kedosetuo Dahou, Vizokho Medoze, Petekhrietuo Nipu, Vilekho Ratsa, Dziesesalie Kruse, Krosietuo Kuotsu, Neiphrelhounuo Rhatsu, Keneisenuo and Ketseivi-i.
The referees for volleyball are Peleselhou Sirie, Rajukolie, Pfukruvisie Sechü, Neikuo Kruse and Kevingulie Rürhie, while the referees for football will have representatives from the Kohima District Referee Association.
Meanwhile, WADSA officials have also informed all the units to bring two flags along with entry fee of Rs 3000.
