VWF observes Children’s Day with residents of Ebenezer Orphanage Home

Dimapur, Nov. 15 (EMN): To mark the Children’s Day, members of Vivekananda Welfare Foundation (VWF) organised a programme with the residents of Ebenezer Orphanage Home in Indisen village, Dimapur, on November 14.

The visitation was aimed at creating awareness on the rights, care, and education of children, an update from VWF stated on Sunday.

It stated that the VWF team under the guidance of the chief functionary of Ebenezer Orphanage Home organised a special food packets for the children as well as an extravaganza filled with music, dance and some fun filled activities. It stated that the children enjoyed the food, sweets, juice, and fruits to their fullest.

The programme began with a prayer and greetings of Diwali by the chief functionary of Ebenezer Orphanage Home, Akhum wherein he warmly welcomed the team.

“Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured as they are the future of the nation and citizens of tomorrow,” said Niranjan Saha, VWF president quoting Jawaharlal Nehru. He urged the children to remain pure as they are now and work hard to achieve their goals.

He also shared the motto of Vivekananda Welfare Foundation, which is to serve the humanity irrespective of caste, creed, sex, religion and community and serving the children of God with whatever way possible.
