Dimapur, June 9 (EMN): Vivekananda Welfare Foundation (VWF) felicitated the toppers of HSLC and HSSLC examinations 2019 at the premises of St. Mary Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, in the presence of Swapneel Paul as the chief guest and Dr. Y Hesheto Chishi, president of Nagaland NGOs Forum, as the guest of honour on June 9.
Speaking on the occasion, Swapneel shared some tips to the students about how they should go ahead with their studies. He dismissed the concept that students who scored good marks should pursue science and others to commerce and arts.
He asked them to be strict about their schedules and be well prepared before they sit for examination. He advised to avoid those who try to discourage them and fight till the end and find happiness, which according to him is the ultimate meaning of life.
Dr. Hesheto applauded the contribution of VWF and their commitment to uphold the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda’s universal brotherhood.
He advised the students to remember that success is not a destination but a journey they must change and learn.
Legal advisor of VWF, YP Gupta, said that it takes a whole family to educate a child. Special speaker Prof. KP Avikasit said that not everyone can be CEOs and there is a need for educations that aims at making good citizens and commoners.
The programme was dotted with a number of cultural performances put in by different students groups.
