Vongva village holds citizens meeting
DIMAPUR — Vongva village council (VVC) in Kiphire district held its 13th citizens meeting on Friday with Rasuka Jacob as the speaker on the theme “Educating young citizens for engaged citizenship.”
An update from the village council stated that Jacob has emphasised on the need to foster unity in every society and community. Stating that modern problems need modern solutions, he has sought unity to solve those problems.
He also exhorted the gathering to be good citizens by participating in every event of the village irrespective of being big or small. He further emphasised on the need for oneness in any sphere of activity in the village.
The meeting was chaired by Hosito Elias as chairman and Matthew Litsu as secretary. Folk song was presented by members of Vongva Students’ Union and a song by Mahkhekiu Benjamin and friends.
