VMC Tangha discusses pressing issues

DIMAPUR — Several pressing issues like water scarcity and infrastructure concerns including road faced by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) in Tangha under Longleng district were raised during the Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) meeting convened by the school authority on February 8.

Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak P, EAC of Longleng Headquarters who also holds an additional charge Yongnyah EAC, chaired the meeting. A DIPR report stated that Akho Konyak has stressed the committee’s dedication towards a holistic development.

It stated that Dr. Suresh Bera, principal in-charge of JNV Longleng; Nothongol Kera, EE (PHED) Longleng; and SB Angh, EE (PWD) have raised issues and challenges faced by the school, while Kihovi Sema, ADEO, and Dr. Henshet Phom, vice principal of Yingli College, spoke on the plan to increase JNV selection test registrations.

SDO (Electrical) addressed measures for enhancing electricity facilities, while the deputy CMO, Dr. Philip Kent, assured a routine quarterly visit to the schools to oversee the medical needs.

Report further stated that Tangha village council as well as parent representatives have pledged full cooperation.
