DIMAPUR — The block development officer (BDO) of Chiephobozou, Seyiekhrielie Rio on Thursday inaugurated the office of the Ruovi Village Level Organisation (VLO) in Zhadima village under Kohima district. The VLO comprise 19 self help groups (SHG) in Zhadima village.
Speaking that inauguration programme, Rio informed that VLO was established on March 1, 2019. He added that the strength of the VLO comprised of 142 members.
Out of the total 19 SHG under the Ruovi VLO Zhadima, Rio informed that one of the groups consisted of members comprising senior citizens.
Informing that there are many inactive members, he encouraged them to increase their activities and tap their potentials. He has assured of the government’s support towards the VLO in all possible ways.
Rio commended the Ruovi VLO for its annual cleanliness drives, which extended to local schools and hospitals. He also encouraged the predominantly female membership to promote and maintain healthy lifestyles within their households.
With the inauguration of the office serving as a symbolic milestone, Rio challenged the VLO to adopt a forward-thinking approach and reiterated his office’s commitment to supporting their endeavors.
Chaired by Vilhoubeinuo, MBK Ruovi VLO, the programme began with a prayer said by Rev Thepfusalhou, pastor of Zhadima Bawe AG Church, while the village council chairman, Neilalhoulie Soliezuo, delivered greetings, and the VDB secretary, Roko Angami, exhorted the gathering.
A brief account of the VLO office was highlighted by Ameü, while Neisemenuo and friends presented a song.
