Vision Trinity Charity Club basketball tournament begins
Kohima, Nov. 24 (EMN): The first Winter Basketball Tournament (Men & Women) organised by the Vision Trinity Charity Club began at New Reserve Police Court, Kohima on Sat. Nov 24.
The president VTCC Nunese Sale said the tournament is to encourage the young talents and provide them a platform. It is also an event where we try to promote peace, harmony through the game and create a new bond of friendship, the president said.
Additional SP Kilang was the special guest for the inaugural ceremony.
A total of 14 teams are taking part in the tournament wherein the finals will be held on the Nov. 25, the organising committee informed.
The champions of the men’s category will receive a cash prize of INR 15, 000 while the runners-up will receive INR 8,000.
For individual awards, MVP will receive a cash prize of INR 3000.
In women’s category, the champions will recieve a cash prize of INR 6,000 along with citations.
