Villagers appeal Naga groups to cooperate in road project
Dimapur, Jan. 22 (EMN): Four villages in Phek district on Tuesday appealed the “government of all different factions” and the public to give their fullest cooperation towards the ongoing road construction in between Sohomi junction to Suthotsu village via Khutsokhuno and Tehephu under PMGSY scheme.
A press statement from the “road committee” stated that those four villages being the most remote and backward area in the region in particular and the Chakhesang in general have suffered for several decades due to bad road condition. “…moreover many lives have gone due to lack of good road connectivity towards the district hospital.”
It has also affected the economy resulting in failure to provide children with education, it stated and appealed all to support the contractor in order to provide quality roads.
