Dimapur, Sep. 15 (EMN): Mission ‘Antyodaya Gram Samridhi Evam Swachchata Pakhwada,’ a Village Well-Being and Cleanliness Fortnight for state trainers was held on September 15 at RD Directorate conference hall with Vilopi Angami and Sentiyatet Jamir as resource persons.
A baseline survey of village clusters identified by the state will be done during the campaign for which the training was conducted on Friday, Sep. 15 for trainers from all the districts who will in turn train the blocks and village functionaries.
Joint Director and Nodal Officer (campaign), K. Neibou Sekhose, briefly explained the significance of mission Antyodaya campaign and the importance of collection of data, reporting, and monitoring of the same.
Introduction to Mission Antyodaya and the Samridh Gram app. (app for conduct of the baseline survey) was presented by Vilopi Angami, RDO and introduction on Kaushal Panjee and demo presentation of the Gram Samridh app by Sentiyatet Jamir.
The programme concluded with hands on training on Samridh Gram app.
The press release informed that the fortnight is a campaign to be conducted from October 1 to the 5th, to actively involve the Panchayati Raj institutions and its constituent committees to engage the community in building environment for clean green villages, generate awareness about different government programmes and to plan sustainable livelihood options in the state.
The campaign will be jointly conducted by the Department of Rural Development in partnership with State and local governments including Department of PHED (Sanitation), Social Welfare (NSAP), Education, PWD (PMGSY), Agriculture and Veterinary, the release added.
