Dimapur, June 6 (EMN): The fourth India-Bhutan tennis tournament concluded on June 3 with India’s Vilasier Khate lifting the men’s singles title for the third time according to a press note. Khate defeated Bhutan’s Tandin Wangchuk in the final match played at the National Tennis Center in Changlimithang, Thimphu. Also in attendance at the final match was former tennis player from India, Vijay Amritraj. Of the four editions of the India-Bhutan tennis tournament, Vilasier Khate has won in the year 2015, 2017, and this year’s singles title. Vilasier and partner Patriza Tshering lost to Tenzing Singye Dorji and Mandhoj Pradhan 5-7, 4-6 in the Lucky Mixed Doubles event finals. “First of all I want to thank God, without him I won’t be anything. The tournament is getting better every year and I want to thank the Bhutan Tennis Federation” remarked Khate.
