Dimapur, November 5: A new Government High School building in Asukika was inaugurated on November 5 at Asukika ground by minister of Roads & Bridges, Y Vikheho Swu, as the chief guest and ADC Pughoboto, Avelu Ruho, as the guest of honour respectively.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest asked the citizens, teachers and particularly the students to maintain the infrastructure and make the best use of them. He asked the people of the area to change their mindset and think differently to usher in positive changes in the society.
He encouraged the citizens to actively participate in tree plantation as it is not only for environment purification but also has economic prospect in the long run. He also advised the public to start livestock rearing and farming and focus more on organic and quality products.
The guest of honour, Avelu Ruho challenged the people not to glorify the past glory but urged them to ponder seriously for the present and future generation with unity. She also asked them to avoid the culture of division among them.
The welcome address was delivered by chairman of Joint Council Asukika Area Khuwoto Swu and 1st class contractor Vihoto Shohe respectively. Special number was presented by associate pastor youth KBC, Jona Swu. Pastor of GBC, Rev. CS Kiheto invoked God’s blessing. AHM, GHS Asukika, Nagaholi Yeptho, proposed vote of thanks, while pastor of TBC offered the benediction. Coordinator, EBRC Pughoboto Vihoto Sheqi chaired the programme.
