Video album ‘Yamaji Lia Aru’ released in Mokokchung

A video album called “Yamaji Lia Aru” was released and dedicated by Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) Executive secretary, Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger at Artang Baptist Church in Mokokchung on Nov. 27.

The released album is a project of the Ashiponger Foundation- a non-governmental organisation whose primary objective is to help people suffering from the chronic disease of alcoholism.

An update from the Ashiponger foundation said that the main purpose of the album is to convey the message of God’s love and grace. The Ashiponger foundation plans to organise an alcohol awareness seminar along with a concert in order to encourage the people that life is so worth living and fun without alcohol, the update informed.

The goals of the foundation also includes providing detoxification camps and proper counselling to alcoholics and their families, creating platforms and opportunities for jobs to recovering alcoholics through small-scale business under the supervision of the foundation.
