Dimapur: Victorious Secret Jalukie won the first-ever 'She Believes' Super 7's Women's Tournament held at The Ball Park Jalukie with an aim to promote women's football in Nagaland.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]The team beat Bombiel Girls FC (runners-up) in the final to win the title, according to a delayed update from The Ball Park Jalukie, the organiser of the sporting event held from April 13 to the 15th.
In the men’s Super 7's Champions League, which was held along with the 'She Believes' tournament, Barak FC won the trophy by beating Legend Lads Jalukie (runners-up) in the final match.
A total of 32 teams participated in the men’s league while 16 teams competed in the women’s league, according to the update. It added that the event was organised by The Ball Park Jalukie in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) Peren, an autonomous organination under the union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, with focus on youth empowerment and skill development.
It was the second tournament the Ball Park Jalukie had hosted for women with free entry, apart from free training camps for girls in collaboration with Kingdom Stewards, informed the update.
