Vice President of India on 2-day visit to Nagaland

Kohima, Oct. 6 (EMN): Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu, who is currently on a tour of the Northeast, will arrive in Nagaland on Thursday for a two-day visit.
He will arrive at Dimapur Airport on Thursday morning from Agartala, before heading to ICAR Research Complex for NE Region, Jharnapani in Dimapur and then visit Police House Chumoukedima.
He is also scheduled to meet the governor of the state, Chief Minister, Deputy CM and other ministers in the afternoon.
The vice president will virtually inaugurate office building of Directorate of IT&C, Kohima; buildings of government high schools; and Ministers’ Residential Complex in Kohima before interacting with achievers of the state and then attend a cultural programme in the evening, He is scheduled to leave Nagaland for Itanagar on Friday morning.
Naidu, who has been touring the north-eastern states for the last few days, has been emphasising on various aspects including good road connectivity, education, tourism, and all-round development of the region.
