Vehicular, public movement restricted at Bhandari town-Merapani

Dimapur, Aug. 15 (EMN): Following the detection of Covid-19 positive person at Zunheboto from Merapani village and as a precautionary measure, the Bhandari administration with the consultation of civil societies has decided to restrict vehicular and public movement between Bhandari town and Merapani village with effect from August 17 to the 23rd.

According to a DIPR update, the decision was taken during a co-ordination meeting held with Bhandari Town Lotha Hoho, Bhandari Students’ Union and Bhandari Town Eloe Hoho on August 13.

However, medical emergencies, government officials on duty, commercial vehicles with valid permit and students' necessities have been exempted. 

It warned that defaulters will be fined with a sum of INR 500 and will be held responsible for any untoward incidents. The general public has been requested to extend co-operation for the welfare of the society.
