VDB Association undertakes tour to villages

DIMAPUR — With a purpose to encourage village development and to create awareness on PMAYG scheme, the Village Development Board (VDB) Association under Tseminyu Rural Development block undertook village tour and visited 26 villages under Phenshunyu Lojvu, Tseminyu range, Tsongi range and Kasha Daho range.

An update from the association stated that its president, Andrew Kent, along with his team held meetings with the village chairmen, GBs, VCM, VDBs, village members, and PMAGY beneficiaries and apprised them about the benefits of the scheme.

The team also encouraged the beneficiaries to be honest and make the best use of the fund provided as per the scheme.

To ensure that every beneficiary benefit from the scheme and to encourage the villages, the association has assured to award the best performer among the beneficiaries and the most developed village.

Meanwhile, the association has appreciated the support extended by BDO Tseminyu, Jenny Kath.

The association also thanked all the concerned departments particularly the department of Rural Development for providing the schemes for the progress and development of the villages and making the programme a productive one.
