WOKHA — Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) for Wokha district was launched at Wokha village public ground on Friday, which was attended by youth and elders of Wokha village and Wokha district BJP party workers.
Nuhuta Tunyi, SDO , while launching VBSY, said that the idea was to make India a developed country. He stated that it was envisioned by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to make India developed by 2047, the year India will attain 100 years of Independence.
Tunyi informed that it is a two-month long programme aimed at reaching to all corners of Nagaland, which was formally inaugurated in Kohima on November 30. In this regard, he urged the leaders to mobilise the villagers for active participation for a successful result. He informed that the campaign has two major components namely for implementation government policies, schemes and programmes as well as for information, education and communication (IEC).
Informing that the two-month campaign would culminate on January 26, 2024, he sought the village leaders for active participation in availing information and benefits provided by the government of India.
Chairman of Wokha village council, Vandan Erui, appreciated all the departments present during the launch event for providing information and assistance to the people.
Earlier in the programme, a recorded message of the Prime Minister was played, while beneficiaries from Rural Development department and Agriculture department shared their experiences and James Ezung, district welfare officer, shared on various schemes and programmes of the government.
Altogether, 16 departments attended the campaign.
