Diphu, April 27 (EMN): To protest the mysterious death of Jenisha Engtipi, various women, students and youth organisations took out a protest march in Diphu on April 27.
The victim, 20 year college going student was found dead inside her rented room of Dipen Chetri in Diphu market on April 23.
The protest was carried out from Diphu govt. college to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Secretariat and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Executive Member (CEM), KAAC Tuliram Ronghang demanding justice to the victim's family members and demand punishment to the culprits.
The organisations during the protest demanded immediate legal action against the accused Dipen Chetri and compensation to the victim's family and to stop rape culture, murder and violence against minor girls and women.
The procession saw participation of a large number of students of DAV HS school.
Altogether 16 organisations took part in the protest. part in the procession.
