Dimapur, Nov. 14 (EMN): Mon DC has informed all the recognised political parties, Mon division that Integrated Draft Electoral Rolls is scheduled to be published on November 16, for which they have been requested to be present at the DC’s Conference Hall on Nov. 16 at 10 am. It added that two sets of electoral rolls in draft (one soft and hard copies each) for the 41 to 48 ACs and 55 AC will be issued to all the recognised political parties.
In another update, the DC has informed the public under Mon District that Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls will be undertaken with January 1, 2021 as qualifying date and the Integrated Draft Electoral Roll will be published on the November 16 with a period for claims and objections from November 16 to December 15 this year.
The first special campaign dates have been fixed on the Nov. 20 and the 21st, and the second campaign on Dec. 4 and the 5th. Disposal of claims and objections will be completed by the January 5 and the final publication of electoral roll will be made on the January 15, 2021, the notice stated.
It added that all the stake holders in the district have also been informed that the final list of polling stations for 41- Tizit, 42- Watching, 43- Tapi, 44- Phomching, 45- Tehok, 46- Mon, 47- Aboi, 48- Moka and 55- Tobu assembly constituencies has been published and is available for inspection at the office of the deputy commissioner and district election officer, Mon.
Kohima: Addl. Deputy Commissioner and Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa has informed that a meeting with the representatives of political parties and all the AEROs under Kohima district will be held on November 16 at 1 pm in the Conference Hall of the DC in connection with the publication of Draft Photo Electoral Roll pertaining to Special Summary Revision w.r.t 01.01.2021 as the qualifying date. So, all concerned have been informed to attend the meeting.
Zunheboto: The deputy commissioner and district election officer of Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, has notified that the list of amendment to the draft electoral roll for the 31-Akuluto, 32-Atoizu, 33-Suruhuto, 34-Aghunato, 35-Zunheboto and 36-Satakha assembly constituencies has been prepared with reference to January 1, 2021 as the qualifying date and in accordance with Registration of Electoral Rules 1960. In this respect, he has informed the general public that the copy of draft electoral roll along with the list of amendment has been published and is available for inspection at DEO office.
Wokha: Additional Deputy Commissioner and Electoral Registration Officer, Wokha, K Mhathung Tsanglao has informed all the booth-level officers (BLOs) under Wokha district that the Election Commission has scheduled special campaign dates with regard to special summary revision of photo electoral rolls w.r.t 01/01/2021 as qualifying date. In this regards, all the BLOs have been directed to conduct special campaign from their respective polling stations on November 20 and the 21st, and December 4 and the 5th.
