Various activities mark Wokha Winter Fiesta

WOKHA — Various entertainment activities marked the first edition of the Wokha Winter Fiesta-music, eco-tourism and adventure at Lanchuju eryu, Doyang, even as the festivities entered its third day on Saturday.

Vungathung Murry, president of Wokha District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WDCCI) was the chief patron on Saturday. He lauded Team Metamorphosis for organising the festival and expressed support for one another for the betterment of society.

Emerging rapper, Limhachan Ngullie popularly known as the Lotha Eminem, enthralled the gathering with his spectacular performance.

Various indigenous and fun games were played during the day. Stalls were open day and night offering varieties of foods. Adventures like zipline, kayaking and motorboating gave a feeling of positive accomplishment to the visitors.

At the night bazaar, a social meeting point primarily for food and fun, DJ Achen Yanthan (DJING) entertained the visitors.

On Monday Dr. Jonsuthung Kithan, managing director of Mhondamo Memorial Nursing Home, will be the chief patron for the live concert in the evening programme. Various activities like the indigenous games, adventure sports, camping, food, trekking and music will continue as usual.
