Dimapur, Jan. 22: Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry has announced to organise a livestock show (pigs and poultry) on January 26 coinciding with the Republic Day celebration at DDSC Stadium.
Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO), Dimapur, Dr. Temsu Ozukum has asked to concerned to contact the officials on phone nos. 9436605973 and 9436072892 for pigs exhibition and phone nos. 8974695433 and 9436002353 for poultry exhibition.
He informed that the piglets for the show should be three months of age, while poultry birds will include desi variety (local) and LIT varieties such as Kuroiler, Vanaraja, Gramapriya and Shitiri etc.
CVO further informed that prizes would be awarded to the best exhibits for the different categories. Interested farmers are requested to confirm their participation latest by 1 p.m. on January 24.
