Tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 150th birth anniversary in Mokokchung culminates with a ‘Unity Walk.’

MOKOKCHUNG — The tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 150th birth anniversary in Mokokchung culminated with a ‘Unity Walk’ (Padyatra) from Town Hall to the IOC, Sungkomen, on Tuesday.
The unity walk drew an impressive array of participants, from senior superintendent of police; heads of various government offices; 12th Assam Rifles; CRPF; Home Guards and Civil Defence; Ex-Servicemen Association; chairman and councillors of Mokokchung Municipal Council; Ao Senden; Watsu Mungdang; Bharat Scouts & Guides; National Cadet Corps; National Service Scheme; Mokokchung Town Gaonboras Association; and the All Wards Union, Mokokchung.

The Padyatra kicked off with a formal programme at the town hall where Additional Deputy Commissioner Atsung Walling addressed the gathering, before being flagged off by senior SP Vesupra Kezo.
The march culminated with a unity pledge administered by Assistant Commissioner Ajay Koktan.
