Unity College, Dimapur, held its second annual youth fest ‘Unifest 2.0’ in the college premises on February 22 and 23 on the theme ‘Invigorating young minds.’
The events on the first day comprised art competition, cosplay, dance competition, essay writing, extempore speech, fitness challenge, food-eating challenge, photography exhibition and slam poetry, an update from the college stated.
It stated that Yemjong Chang ‘The Illusionist’ enchanted the audience with some eye-deceiving tricks and illusions and the first day concluded with an enthralling performance by the renowned pop rock band ‘The Gluttones.’
The second day of the festival witnessed a variety of competitions in the genres of indigenous food cooking, indigenous games, Voice of Unity V.8.0 and Unifest mega model.
It was followed by the distribution of prizes and certificates to the winners, after which the crowd was treated to an electrifying performance by Moko Koza, a prominent rapper and songwriter from Nagaland.
The two-day fest concluded with a thrilling experience for the students grooving and dancing to the tune of DJ Rhon. Overall, Unifest2.0 was an exposure for the youth to exhibit their talents and aspirations, it stated.
