Unity College annual sports meet concludes

Dimapur — Unity College, Dimapur, organised its annual sports meet from Feb. 7 to the 9th, which was held at the college campus and DDSC stadium.

The students were divided into teams - Dover, Panama, Prodigies, Vagator and Windsor, an update from the college stated.

In the inaugural ceremony, principal of Unity College, Dr. Lichumo Enie exhorted the students to compete with the sportsman spirit and to always ‘Strive for excellence.’ This was followed by the oath taking led by H Yamkho Shamo, sports secretary, PGSC, and torch lighting ceremony.

The college vice principal Dr. Temjenwabang declared the sports meet open.

The three-day event witnessed a range of indoor and outdoor games. The sports meet concluded with the closing ceremony where prizes and certificates were distributed.

Team Windsor were declared as the overall champions and Prodigies declared the best disciplined team. The vote of thanks was delivered by Yanremo Odyuo, sports secretary UCSC.
