United Way India donates oxygen concentrators to Zunheboto
Dimapur, July 24 (EMN): Zunheboto district received a consignment of 16 oxygen concentrators (10 litres) from United Way India, Mumbai, on July 12.
A DIPR report stated that the free aid, which was initiated by the deputy commissioner of Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, would boost the health sector in the district particularly the subdivisions as it would be distributed to primary health centres (PHC) and community health centres (CHC).
The deputy commissioner of Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, has thanked the goodwill gesture of the organisation and informed that the oxygen concentrators would save many lives.
It mentioned that United Way India, affiliated to the Global United Way Network, is the world’s largest privately funded, non-profit organisation. It works to improve lives by mobilising the caring power of communities to advance the common good and operates on the belief ‘We rise or fall together.’
The DC handed over the consignment to the deputy CMO Dr. Akaho Sema.
