United Homies (B) wins the open futsal 7-a-side tournament organised by the Tikhir Students’ Union Kohima, defeating Dream FC.

DIMAPUR — The Tikhir Students’ Union Kohima (TSUK) organised an open futsal 7-a-side tournament at Pro Turf Seven, High School Kohima, on May 15.
A total of 30 teams participated in the tournament, and the matches continued till 9 pm, stated an update.
United Homies (B) emerged as the champions and received a cash prize of INR 20,000, while Dream FC secured the runners-up position with a prize of INR 15,000.
Individual awards were also presented to outstanding performers. Hukaito of United Homies (B) was named the best goalkeeper, while Kanaito of AXU FC was the highest scorer with nine goals.

The tournament commenced with an opening programme hosted by Toju KN, Information Secretary of TSUK. Zisekyu T Chirr, President of TSUK, extended a welcome note to the participating teams. This was followed by an exhortation delivered by the executive secretary of TSUK.
The event concluded with a closing programme where KJ Musushe, General Secretary of TSUK, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to all participating teams, referees, officials, and supporters whose cooperation contributed to the success of the tournament.
The prize distribution ceremony was conducted by Kheantsumong B, Games and Sports Secretary of TSUK.
The union expressed hope that such sporting events will continue to foster unity, healthy competition, and camaraderie among the youth.
