DIMAPUR — Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio met with Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Jual Oram on Sunday, who is on a three-day visit to the state.
Following the meeting, Rio posted on X: “The Hon’ble Union Minister of Tribal Affairs @TribalAffairsIn, Shri @jualoram called on me. On behalf of the people of Nagaland, I extend our gratitude for his visit, and for his continued support for the State. I wish him a pleasant stay.”
Earlier, upon his arrival at Dimapur Airport, Oram was welcomed by the members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland state unit.
According to an update from the party, Oram is scheduled to visit various developmental sites and hold a review meeting with the administration in Zunheboto on October 14.
He is scheduled to hold an interaction with the party officials and karyakartas of BJP Nagaland later in the evening.
The union minister will also hold a state-level review meeting at the DC conference hall in Dimapur on October 15, followed by a press briefing before his departure to Delhi by flight.
