Union Minister of Food Processing Industries visits Manipur

Imphal, Sep. 20 (EMN): The Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries and Jal Shakti Prahlad Singh Patel on Tuesday visited Chandel district to look into the Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP) and review developmental works undertaken from ground level at Penaching village.
The Union minister also visited Chandel District Hospital and the COVID-19 vaccination centre and interacted with doctors and staff.
Singh Patel reached Manipur on Sep. 19 to attend various programmes as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday celebration.
On Tuesday, the Union minister also inspected the food processing site at Liwa Khullen in Chandel district and interacted with the local people besides attending a review meeting about the development of the Central Scheme under the Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission at the Deputy Commissioner(Chandel)’s office premises.
While citing that the scheme being developed in remote villages is the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central minister said, ‘we must fulfill the dream of a self-reliant village’.
The ADM Chandel Md Firoj Khan highlighted the central scheme which is being developed in Chandel district during the review meeting.
On Sep. 19, Singh Patel attended a free health check-up camp at Irom Meijrao under Imphal West district as a part of the Seva Pakhwada fortnight.
Rajya Sabha MP Leisemba Sanajaoba, Manipur Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr. Sapam Ranjan and BJP Manipur unit president A Sharda Devi led party leaders were present during the free health camp wherein 300 people came to the health check-up camp where state health card called CMHT were also prepared for eligible families.
