Union minister assures developmental works in Tuensang
DIMAPUR — Union minster of Housing and Urban Affairs and Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, has assured to take up projects including construction of multi-shopping mall and parking lot in Tuensang town.
Singh made this assurance during an interaction with the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana in Tuensang on Saturday. During interaction, Singh informed that the Northeast region in general and Nagaland in particular witnessed various developmental works initiated by the government under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, stated a DIPR report.
He stated that the present government at the centre, during the pandemic period, had given many schemes to the people which raised the standard of livelihood and economic of the people, especially the women in India. He expressed happiness to witness many beneficiaries under Ujjwala Yojana scheme in Tuensang.
The union minister was accompanied by the state minister of Housing and Mechanical Engineering, Bashangmongba Chang; advisor of Youth Resource and Sports, Keoshu Yimchunger; MLA Imtichuba, MLA Benei M Lamthiu; and state BJP president, Benjamin Yepthomi; and host of dignitaries.
The programme was chaired by the deputy commissioner of Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, while the welcome address was delivered by Bashangmongba Chang and powerpoint presentation was made by official from DUDA on DAY-NULM and IOC Ltd on Ujjwala Yojana.
