Dimapur, June 25 (EMN): Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar, will arrive at Dimapur airport on June 26 at 12:45 pm.
During his two-day visit to Nagaland, the union minister will visit the Central Institute of Horticulture (CIH) campus and inaugurate the farmers’ exhibition-cum-workshop. He will also visit the National Research Center for Mithun (ICAR) and the Pineapple farm in Molvom Village under MOVCD- NER on the first day.
A DIPR report stated that a cultural and musical evening with dinner in honour of the union minister will be organised at Niathu conference hall in the evening.
On June 27, the union minister will visit the Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency (NBDA) and Nagaland Honey and Beekeeping Mission (NHBM), where he will also inaugurate the honey laboratory.
The union minister will also be visiting the Organic AC Market at North East Agri Expo site and attend the official function at Angh House before his departure to Delhi.
In this regard, the Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC), Y Kikheto Sema, convened a meeting of officials from the Agri and Allied departments, district administration, police, CEO, NSAMB and media represented by DPRO Dimapur on June 25, where he briefed on the protocols and logistic arrangements in connection with the union minister’s visit to Nagaland.
He informed that despite short notice, the Agri and Allied departments are all set to welcome the union minister in a befitting manner. Kikheto further informed that invitation cards have been sent to all the ministers, advisors and other officials with a request to be part of the cultural programme and dinner at Niathu Resort.
