Unified FC wins open penalty shootout

Dimapur, June 15 (EMN): Unified FC emerged as champions of the first open penalty shootout organised by MACK United after defeating Darlins Club 3-1 in the final game at Seikhazou D. Khel in Kohima village on Saturday, June 15.

According to an update received here on Saturday, Unified FC walked home with a cash prize of INR 60,000 while Darlins Club received INR 40,000.

Dziesekhrielie Tseikha of Unified FC was adjudged the best goalkeeper while the best discipline team award went to IG Girls from Meriema . Both the teams received INR 5,000 each.

Earlier, Shilumar Lemtur declared the tournament open as special guest and also gave words of encouragement and uplifted the spirits of the players.

24 teams which included two women teams from Kohima and Dimapur took part in the one-day tournament organised under the theme, “Together We Stand, Together We fall, All For One And One For All”.
