DIMAPUR — The  United Naga Democratic Party (UNDP), which “has been less active due to various challenges,” has informed that it “is in the process of reorganisation” with UNDP founder member and president T Wati Jamir with a strengthened framework to engage with the public and understand their needs better.

The party, in a press release issued by Ntsemo Ngullie, founder member and advisor, stated that in light of the increasing challenges faced by the people of Nagaland, and upon the advice of UNDP founder and former minister TA Ngullie, it has reaffirmed its commitment to its core motto: “Peace and Prosperity.”

It said that UNDP recognises that now is the time to revitalise efforts to serve the people of Nagaland and claimed that the socio-economic issues affecting communities demand urgent attention and a robust response.

“Our renewed focus will be on addressing the pressing needs of our citizens, ensuring that every voice is heard and that every concern is met with action,” it said.

In the context of the current oppositionless government, it further said that the party understands the significance of its role in providing constructive ideas and necessary support to ensure that governance is both effective and inclusive.

It added that UNDP is committed to working collaboratively with the government while holding it accountable, ensuring that the welfare of the people remains at the forefront of all policies and initiatives.

Further, the party invited all Nagas to join it in this journey.
