DIMAPUR — The University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Education, launched the CU-Chayan portal for a unified recruitment portal to central universities on May 2.
The unified recruitment portal was designed and developed specifically for central universities. The portal provides a common platform for listing vacancies/ advertisements/ jobs across all the central universities, stated a DIPR report.
The portal makes the recruitment process completely online, starting from inviting applications with the provisions of sending alerts in runtime to all users of the portal.
The UGC had developed the portal to create an enabling environment for both universities and the applicants with universities driving all stages of the recruitment process independently, as is being done at present in the respective university.
The secretary of UGC, Prof. Manish R Joshi, in a notification dated May 3, directed all the central universities to use the CU-Chayan portal for all future recruitments by using the link https://curec.samarth.ac.in., the report stated.
