Unity College of Teacher Education (UCTE), Dimapur, in collaboration with Carl Rogers Institute of Mental Health and School Counseling (CRIMHSC) organised a one-day awareness on health and wellness in the college premises on February 16.
An update from the college stated that Rev. Fr. C Joseph, counselor at St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama, and Kezhazolie Cornelius Mere from CRIMHSC spoke on the topic ‘Be gentle with your minds.’
It stated that the resource persons have presented in detail on various mind-locks that trap individuals in different types of bondages preventing people from leading flourishing lives. It added that student-teachers were also enlightened on the secret formula to overcome anxiety and adverse effects of poor mental health.
The resource persons further exhorted the student-teachers to live life in all its fullness with attitude change as children particularly in Nagaland are born with skills to lead successful lives but some go wayward due to unhealthy habits. (Dimapur, EMN)
