Dimapur, March 13 (EMN): A new church building of the United Baptist Church, Midland in Dimapur was dedicated on the theme “My house shall be called a house of prayer.” Rev. L Hevuto Awomi, executive secretary of United Baptist Churches Association North East India (UBCANEI) unveiled the new building.

Quoting Bible verses, Rev. Hevuto said as believers we must keep the church as holy place to serve God by keeping ourselves clean and righteous because our body is where holy spirit lives. Stating that we must seek God continuously, Hevuto said God talks to us when we pray and read the Bible.

He said salvation is for those who remain strong with God by living in accordance to his will.

Officials of UBCANEI, well wishers, members and leaders of United Baptist Churches in Assam and Nagaland were present at the dedication programme.

The dedication service was led by Rev. Puduhu Khusoh, senior pastor UBC, Midland, while the associate pastor, Krhrielevol Pucho, led the dedication ceremony.

UBC Kuhuboto and UBC Midland presented special songs. Dr. Rokolhou led the responsive reading, while Dr. GB Chettri said the offertory prayer.

Er. Nizal Tepa, chairman of the construction committee, presented report of the construction, and Elizabeth Cing, women leader, UBC Midland, read the scripture from the Bible. Rev. YT Lotha, president UBCANEI, pronounced the benediction.

It may be mentioned here that the United Baptist Church Midland is an inter-tribe Nagamese church under UBCANEI.
