U-16 Inter-school Cricket Tournament: Zakiesato Hr. Sec. School vs Nehal Cricket Academy in final

DIMAPUR — Zakiesato Higher Secondary School were through to the final of the Dimapur District Cricket Association (DDCA) U-16 Inter School Cricket Tournament 2024, which was organised under the aegis of Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA).

Taking on Titans in the first semi-final of the tournament on Monday, Zakiesato Higher Secondary School posted a total of 169 runs in 20 overs for loss of all wickets, after being put to bat first.

The major contributors for the school were Sahil and S. Lasker, who scored 27 runs and 24 runs respectively.

Chasing a descent target, Titans’ batting line-up collapsed as they were bowled out in 8 overs for score of just 39 runs. Yashimeren (11 runs) and Abhay Triphati (6 runs) were the main contributors for the Titans.

Zakiesato Higher Secondary School won the match by 130 runs to set the title clash with Nehal Cricket Academy in the final.

Ashish Saha of Zakiesato Higher Secondary School was awarded the Man of the Match for his contribution of 21 runs and 4 wickets.

Nehal Cricket Academy defeated St. Mary Hr. Sec. School Dimapur in the second semi-final of the tournament, updated Dimapur Cricket Association.
