Tyrannus hostel organises parting social

Dimapur, April 3 (EMN): Tyrranus Boys Hostel Jakhama organised parting social-cum-thanksgiving programme on April 2, with Imliben Lemtur, president of Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF) as guest speaker.
Addressing the hostellers, the guest speaker challenged them students to study hard not only to get good result but also to build a foundation to face the challenges in this competitive world. She also advised them to fear the Lord in first place, have good discipline in life and avoid bad habits such as drinking, smoking, immoral, etc.
Lemtur also reminded the students to always remember their parent’s hard work and be an asset and not a liability to the society.
“The role of youth to be an agent of change in nation building is urgently in need, such as practicing ‘One man one vote’ even in the forth coming State General Assembly Election” she added.
Imliben accompanied by her colleagues, thanked the hostel management for inviting them to the function and getting an opportunity to create awareness on ‘fair election’ campaign to the young people who can spread further towards the success of this mission and also congratulate the Hostel management for successfully running the hostel exclusively for the students of St. Joseph’s College for the ten academic session. While presenting a brief report, the hostel warden said earlier the celebration of hostel’s ten academic sessions was officially launched by the Chief Engineer, Police Engineering Project PHQ Nagaland in the beginning of the academic session. He also thanked God for his guidance and bringing to this far with the motto – “Personality Development”. Further, he conveyed best wishes to the final year students for their forth coming examination.
On behalf of the hostel management, Kezhokhoto Savi exhorted the students to remain a lifelong student by quoting “Children always ask questions such as why the sky is blue? Why not we climb like moneys? These questions are called curiosity but when they grow older this curiosity goes away”.
He also advised them to be always humbled and to enjoy in what they do and be to their assignment as they join any profession.
Students presented special numbers including, self compose on ‘Tyrranus Hostel’, speech on behalf of juniors and seniors and special appearances by the outgoing students are among others.
